The City of Saratoga will host the next Community Emergency Response Team(CERT) Regional Training Academy. The training sessions will begin on Thursday, April 26th and will take place every Thursday for five weeks from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The sixth and final session is scheduled for Saturday, May 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All training sessions will be held in the Saunders Room at the Saratoga Senior Center, located on 19655 Allendale Avenue in Saratoga. Visit the City's Recreation and Facilities page to register online. There is a $35 registration fee associated with this training.

The City is now accepting applications for vacancies on the Saratoga Youth Commission. Applications are due to the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on May 17, 2012. Interviews are scheduled for the evenings of May 21, 2012 and May 22, 2012.
Applications are available online and at Saratoga City Hall. Applicants are required to attend at least one meeting of the Commission they are applying for prior to being interviewed. For more information, please contact the City Clerk. (

Just released Census data shows that Saratogans are among the most educated in the State! According to an analysis by the California Department of Finance's Demographic Research Unit, Saratoga is ranked 3rd behind Palo Alto and Los Altos for the highest percentage of residents with a bachelor's degree or higher. The ranking is based on educational attainment data for residents age 25 and older and includes only places with a population of 20,000 or more. More... |
